Anchorage!!!

So, on Tuesday February 1st it was decided that I would fly with by good friend Marissa to her home in Alaska. She was traveling home with her two young children and needed the help. (and Alaska was the only state I hadn't been to!) I mostly spent time with Marissa and her family and visited with my cousins who live in Anchorage. They took me to some great places and I can't wait to go back and see more. I am going to mostly tell this story in pictures.

Arriving at the airport in Anchorage. (my only bear sighting in Alaska :-(

2am my first moments outdoors in Alaska. Snow!!!!

Going to the commissary for groceries, I don't mind the cold at all.

My cousins Skie (and her friend) and Kirstie (and her husband Toranzo) and me eating pizza.

I swear I don't know how Marissa kitchen got like this, but it must be time to organize!!

hmmm, maybe I will continue on to the garage...

Ben joined us to sort all the outdoor gear.

Taking a break from organizing to sing some love songs.

Except the pile of trash destined for the dumpster... All clean!

My adorable little first-cousin-once-removed: Tat2

Last day!

Sunday was all about eating. It was a perfect finish to an amazing trip. Pierre and Anne got special pastries from the village for breakfast. For lunch we went to pierres family and had a delicious home cooked, fresh from the garden, polish meal. Suchgood food and drink!

In the afternoon Pierre and Anne and I went to Brussels. We went to the Automium first, and took the tour inside with a great view of the city. After that we went downtown to Le Grand Place, where we got some Belgian pralines and saw the manequin piss. We finished the evening with Chimay snd a waffle.  I went to bed around 1130pm and Pierre and I got up and left for the airport at 3:30am. (I am tired, but Pierre I hope you survived work ok!) both my morning flights were delayed due to strikes but fortunetly I had enough time between legs it was ok. Now I wait for my flight to LA, hopefully boarding in an hour. Then I will try to sleep on the plane and arrive at 4ish west coast time. Almost home!!!

I am glad they helped me eat all those. . .

Family

Wow, it's been a crazy few days here. We got in late from Spain and were greeted by rain and cold. Saturday I woke up early and pierre drove me to my cousin Rolands house and I went with him to the wedding. The wedding was for my second cousin and most if the family on my grandmas side was there. Some if them I remember from when I visited when I was 10. In the evening I went back to Pierre and Annes and I visited abs said goodbye to my grandfathers side if the family.
